Determine the value of your belongings: Make a complete inventory of your possessions; write down each item along with the purchase price and current price. Total up all of the amounts to get an estimated value of your property. It is also very helpful to take photos or video tapes of your belongs and document all serial numbers. If you need help estimating the value of your property contact your insurance agent to determine the level of coverage you will need.

Be sure to ask what is covered under your policy: Many renters' policies have dollar limits on certain items so be familiar with these particular limited items. Some Items, which may have dollar limits, are jewelry, firearms, money, and watercrafts.

Liability Protection: You could be held reliable for injury. If someone is injured, or property is damaged inside your apartment, you could be held legally responsible for their injuries or damage to their personal property. Renters insurance can help protect you in the case of a liability lawsuit, as well as deferring legal defense costs.

Does my renters insurance cover my items in storage? Most polices will provide limited coverage on belongings not stored in the home. Check with your Storage facility and Insurance Company to find out what is covered under your policy.

Application Fee

It's important to us to find tenants that are responsible adults who pay their bills and debts. To ensure that our prospective tenants are responsible, we will run a credit check.

We will not even consider an application without authorization for a credit check and the fee to run a credit report.

Credit check fee:

$25 for each adult applicant or co-applicant.
